YW/YM Camp

The youth need a place where they can gather together, separate from worldly influences, feel the Spirit of the Lord, grow in unity and love, and strengthen their faith and testimonies of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. (Young Women Camp Guide, p1)

Young Women/Men Camps may be held anywhere and during any time of the year but are usually held in the summer. Please check the calendar for defined dates each year. All youth are invited. Our Stake budget subsidizes much of the cost of camp; however, there is a camp fee for each youth and it may vary from year to year. If anyone has a friend or relative attend camp with them who does not live within the stake boundaries (member or non-member visiting from outside our stake), they will pay the same fee.

Usually the stake will assign leaders from each ward. The ward Young Women Presidents and Bishops may be invited to make recommendations on who will serve in these assignments. We try to fill these assignments early in the year, so the camp leaders will be ready and in place once the planning meetings begin.

Ward leaders are responsible for coordinating rides for the youth to/from camp.
